<b>About the position:</b></span></div>
<div><span style="font-size: small;">We are looking for a seasoned Linux Administrator (LAMP) capable of helping us manage and scale our technology infrastructure as our core businesses grow.&#160; We are currently running two separate server clusters totaling 15 servers.&#160; Ideal candidates will be located in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to work in downtown SF, and </span><span style="font-size: small;">willing to work first on a consultative basis before potentially transitioning into a full-time role.</span><span style="font-size: small;"><br />

Responsibilities:</b><br />
</span><span style="font-size: small;">&#8226;  </span>Designing, planning and maintaining continued improvements of the corporate data center, core infrastructure services, disaster recovery systems, and backup strategies<br />
<span style="font-size: small;">&#8226;  </span>Installing, configuring and updating new hardware and software<br />
<span style="font-size: small;">&#8226;  </span>Security auditing and monitoring<br />
<span style="font-size: small;">&#8226;  </span>Working with the 8020 engineering team to design and implement a scalable infrastructure<br />
<span style="font-size: small;">&#8226;  </span>Setup and maintenance of Apache 2 and memcache servers</div>

<div><span style="font-size: small;"><b> Requirements:</b></span></div>
<div><span style="font-size: small;">&#8226;  </span><span style="font-size: small;">Experience managing a network of CENTOS 4/5 servers<br />
</span><span style="font-size: small;">&#8226;  </span><span style="font-size: small;">Experience managing a WHM/cpanel<br />
</span><span style="font-size: small;">&#8226;  </span><span style="font-size: small;">Experience with CVS/SVN and PHP 5</span></div>
<div><span style="font-size: small;">&#8226;  </span><span style="font-size: small;">Experience with master-slave replication </span>of MySQL databases<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br />
<b>Bonus nice-to-haves:</b><br />
</span><span style="font-size: small;">&#8226;  </span>Working knowledge of MySQL administrative tasks</div>
<div><span style="font-size: small;">&#8226;  </span>A good understanding of general networking (protocols, topology) and mail servers</div>
